The Joy of Painting- Digital Paintings

So as you maybe know, this week Twitch held a marathon of the 403 episodes of Bob Ross' ''The Joy of Painting'' serie. I took the opportunity (like a lot of other people I'm sure) to follow along. Although I did it in Photoshop instead of using oil or acrylics. It was fun and I learned a few tricks along the way.

And here's what they look like all together:

1899 Transylvanian World Exhibiton

Here's the announcement for an exhibition that I am a part of, along with 22 other artists. The exhibition opened on october 1st and a viewing with all the artists will be held on october 4th. So if you are in the Montreal area, you can come and meet us! See you there :)

And also, here are the four paintings I'll have on display. Each one will be for sale.

Sketchup Practice

So here's a few things I've made in Sketchup. One thing I'd like to do eventually is to incorporate some sketchup models in my illustrations to make my workflow more efficient.

Challenge of the month: Fear

So here's a piece I've started for Jazza's Challenge of the Month. The them is Fear our entry can only use 1 color (in any lightness or saturation we need).

Finally, here's a little bit of a backstory:

In a world of fantasy and magic, exists the Cubebrush energy. This force of nature allows those who are able to harness it’s powers to do extraordinary things. The few people who knows of this power uses different approaches to call forth this energy: talismans, ancient formulas or legendary artifacts. That was until one day, where a being was misteriously born with the natural ability to use the Cubebrush energy. His name is Little Teddy. Since then, characters of different horizons have been looking to put their hands on him. Some just want to understand how his situation is possible, but others are looking to use him for much darker purposes…

Little Teddy's main power is the transformation power. It allows him to turn in a much more threatening and powerful version of himself, which allows him to fight against opponent that would normally have no problem defeating him (like this group of Puppet Lumberjacks). The release of Cubebrush energy during his transformation also allows him to heal his wounds and those of the ones around to him.

Exhibition

So I was contacted by a small gallery in Montreal. They were planing an exhibition on the theme of space and they wanted me to participate. So here's the 2 paintings I have submitted
